Michael David Smith
GLASGOW – Michael David Smith, 43, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, after a long, challenging battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 3, 1970, and was a former manager of Radio Shack in both Bowling Green and Glasgow stores and a member of Coral Hill Church of Christ. Mike was a devoted father, wonderful son and a great friend to all that knew him.
Survivors include his parents, Sammy and Pat Riddle Pedigo, of Glasgow; one daughter, Corbyn Smith and her mother, Christy Smith, both of Glasgow; several cousins; and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Smith; grandparents, Wayne and Lucille Riddle, Vergile and Pauline Smith and Lloyd “Jack” Pedigo.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Donald Richard Thomerson
COLUMBIA – Donald Richard Thomerson, 71, of Columbia, and formerly of Glasgow, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Grandsview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Campbellsville.
Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Dick and Mary Jackson Thomerson. Mr. Thomerson was an active member of Boyd’s Creek United Methodist Church, the Adair County Knife Club and was a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include his wife, Rhonda Davidson Thomerson, of Columbia; a son, David Thomerson and wife Angela, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Jamie Gill, Katie Thomerson (Josh Cross) and Andrew Thomerson; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Noah Cross, of Glasgow; a sister, Margaret Martin, of Louisville; a sister-in-law, Donna Thomerson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Thomerson.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Haven Hill Cemetery in Columbia. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
CUB RUN – Mary Thompson, 90, of Cub Run, died at 4 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at Hart County Health Care in Horse Cave.
She was a daughter of the late Silas Cannon and Grace Keith Cannon and the wife of the late Samuel Thompson.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Macedonia Baptist Church with burial in Thompson Cemetery. Visitation was Monday at Sego Funeral Home and will continue Tuesday after 10 a.m. at the church.
HARDYVILLE – Pauline Thompson, 81, of Hardyville, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at Hart County Health Care Center. She was a Hart County native. Those preceding her in death were her husband, Edward Thompson, on Dec. 8, 2007; and her parents, William Frank Stinson and Dora Williams Stinson.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct.16, 2013, at Our Lady of the Caves Catholic Church with burial to follow in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be at Winn Funeral Home on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and after 10 a.m. until service time at the church on Wednesday. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Our Lady of the Caves Catholic Church.
