GLASGOW — Leah Margaret Cummins Byrd, 80, of Glasgow, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2012, at Greenview Hospital in Bowling Green. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
BOWLING GREEN — Ruth Aylene Carpenter, 60, of Bowling Green, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
Born in Glasgow, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ramzey McCawley and Mary Ruth Meadows Barrick. Mrs. Carpenter was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Ivan Carpenter, of Bowling Green; two daughters, Tina Glass, of Glasgow, and Shannon Brown, of Frankfort; two sons, David Shane Kidd, of Bowling Green, and Bradley Carpenter, of Cave City; a brother, Edgar McCawley, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Gavyn Scott, Seth Glass and Daily Grace Ray; and a great-grandson, Chase Morgan Roddy.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Ciara Taylor.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
GLASGOW — Barbara Jane Coats, 68, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
MUNFORDVILLE — Billy Forbis Crump, 91, of Munfordville, died 5 a.m. Saturday at Glasgow Health Care Facility.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Munfordville First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Suzanne Barrow officiating. Burial will be in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at the church. Sego Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
FOUNTAIN RUN — Barbara Sue (Steenbergen) Fraim, 78, of Fountain Run, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at The Medical Center in Scottsville.
The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Louis and Laura (Harrison) Steenbergen. She married Jimmy Stone Fraim, who preceded her in death Jan. 5, 1984. She was a farmer and housewife and a member of the Tracy United Methodist Church.
Her survivors include, children, John (Kathy) Fraim, Rita (Randy) Stovall, all of Scottsville, Susie Fraim of Fountain Run; grandchildren, Jason Fraim, Leslie Fraim, Robbie Stovall, Randa (James) Bush and Raissa Stovall.
Other than her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Lucy Dorrow, Opal Boles, Dorotha Beam and Winnie Steenbergen; brothers, Omer, Edwin and Euell Steenbergen.
Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17, at Tracy United Methodist Church with Pastors Neil Jeffries, James Bush and Gary Steenbergen officiating, burial will follow in Tracy Cemetery. Family members served as pallbearers.
She will lie in state at the church after 10 a.m. Monday until service time.
