Debra Hendrick Beckner
BOWLING GREEN – Debra Hendrick Beckner, 58, of Bowling Green, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at her residence.
She was the daughter of Leon Hendrick, who survives, and the late Thelma Jean Hendrick, and wife of the late William Robert "Billy Jack" Beckner II.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation is in progress and will continue from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mary E. Brooks
JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. – Mary E. Brooks, 96, died Jan. 1, 2013, at Clark Memorial Hospital Jeffersonville, Ind.
She was a volunteer at this hospital for two years.
She attended Glasgow Presbyterian Church.
She was born to Vance and Callie Shouse, April 28, 1916. The family lived in Bourbon County, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; her son, Douglas; and her grandson Roy; four sisters, Catherine, Lorain, Willa and Loretta.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Mitchell Oaks; four grandchildren, Gustav Schlueter, Brooks Groves, Connie Holmes, Laura Brannen; and seven great-grandchildren.
She moved to New Albany, Ind., in 2006 to live with her daughter where she lived until the time of her death.
Graveside service was conducted Jan. 4, 2013. In attendance were close family and friends.
The family asks that any donations be sent to the American Heart Foundation.
TOMPKINSVILLE – Ruth Capps, 71, of Tompkinsville, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at Monroe County Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Ruth was born in Tompkinsville, on Sept. 20, 1941, a daughter of the late Mae (Moore) and Dan Hammer. She was the widow of Jesse Capps.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Brother Tom Stokes officiating. Visitation begins Wednesday morning after 10 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Poland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made for funeral expenses.
