Archie V. Key
GLASGOW – Archie V. Key, 68, of Glasgow, died Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at his residence. Born in Lamb, he was the son of the late Jack and Alice Lucille Wood Key.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Proffitt Key, of Glasgow; two sons, Richard Key (Debbie), of Glasgow and Todd Key (Allison), of Danville, Ill.; three daughters, Sherry Long (Leon), Shannon Key and Mary Francis Key, all of Glasgow; a stepson, Keith Murley, of Tompkinsville; four stepdaughters, Trina Wooten, of Glasgow, Michelle Turner, of Temple Hill, Crystal Stockton, of Glasgow and August Steenbergen, of Scottsville; a sister, Zona Patterson (Clarence), of Finchville; three brothers, Ewing Key (Barb), of Williamstown, Mo., William Mitchell Key (Jean), of Bloomfield, and Michael Dennis Key (Phyllis) of Wyaconda, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and his ex-wife, Bernice Key, of Glasgow, also survive. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a granddaughter and a brother, Mack Medley.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Caney Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Louise Magers Smith
CAVE CITY – Mrs. Louise Magers Smith, 62, of Cave City, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow.
The Barren County native was the daughter of the late William “Bill” Henry Magers and Wilna Webster Magers, who survives her and resides in Cave City.
She was a member of the Cave City Baptist Church where she was a volunteer at the food pantry. She was an auditor for the banking industry and served on the board of directors at Glasgow Christian Academy.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Roger Smith, Cave City; a daughter, Jeanna Smith, Cave City; and a stepson, Adam Smith, Birmingham, Ala.
Funeral services, with Robby Ward officiating, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9 at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
