Wendall E. Froedge
TOMPKINSVILLE – Wendall E. Froedge, 87, Radio Station Road, Tompkinsville, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at his home.
He was born Oct. 13, 1925, in Monroe County, to the late Hughie Calvin and Mary Tula Carter Froedge. He was married to Lorine Proffitt Froedge in December of 1947.
He served as a Buck Sgt. in the army during World War II. He served two years, two months and eight days. He participated in the Okinawa campaign.
Other survivors include five children, Genia Toma, of Lexington, Ernie Simms, of Nashville, Tenn., Lorinda Jones, of Elizabethtown, Tom Froedge, of Tompkinsville, and Joe Froedge, of Prospect; one sister, Wanda Clement, of Glasgow; one brother, Paul Froedge, of Rineyville; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3, at Yokley-Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, with visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.

James Jacob Matthew Howling
EDMONTON – James Jacob Matthew Howling, 24, of Edmonton, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013.
He is survived by his parents, James Howling, of Jackson, Ohio, and Karen Acree, of Edmonton; brother, Jonathon Stegall, of Edmonton; four sisters, Sierra Stegall, Kirsten George, Alyia Whobrey, all of Edmonton, and Selena Howling, of Jackson, Ohio; stepfather, John Acree, of Edmonton; stepmother, Mellina Howling, of Jackson, Ohio; two stepbrothers, Johnny (Pop) Acree Jr., of Edmonton, and Seth Sheets, of Jackson, Ohio; and two stepsisters, Christian Acree and Holly Acree, both of Edmonton.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
