BOWLING GREEN — Ogene McPeak, 82, of Bowling Green, formerly of Fountain Run, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Magnolia Village in Bowling Green.
He was born Sept. 26, 1931, in Monroe County, to the late Omer McPeak and Annie Jones McPeak.
He was retired from Phillip Morris Tobacco Company, a farmer, and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by three brothers, Wayne McPeak, of Tompkinsville, Eldon McPeak and Glen McPeak both of Fountain Run; two sisters, Shirley McPeak, of Fountain Run, Genear Carter, of Lafayette, Tenn.; four nieces, Belinda Allen, Barbie Emberton, Shelia Mantegani and Dinah Wallace; one nephew, Gary McPeak; several great-nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers: James, Louie, Kenneth and Roger McPeak and one sister, Aline McPeak.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville with burial to follow in Akersville Cemetery in Monroe County.
Visitation will be after 5 p.m. on Thursday and after 7:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
Memorials are suggested to Akersville Cemetery or New Liberty Baptist Church.
