Brenda Kay Blair Crain
HORSE CAVE – On Oct. 29, 2012, Brenda Kay Blair Crain won her long, brave battle with breast cancer and graduated into the presence of her heavenly Father.
She was a Kentucky Colonel, a licensing clerk for the City of Horse Cave, a longtime accountant, wife, mother, grandmother, member of Coral Hill Baptist Church and Miss Brenda to a generation of children who she taught in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She was and is beloved by everyone who knew her.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Veda Mae Blair and Albro T. Blair, of Cave City; two sisters, Margaret Ann Huff, of Munfordville, and Peggy Sue Spann, of Cave City; three brothers, Taylor Blair, Bobby Wayne Blair and Joe Louis Blair.
She will be sorely missed by her husband, Danny P. Crain, of Horse Cave; her son and daughter-in-law, Philip Ray Crain and Emily Boston Crain, of Lexington; grandson, and reason to keep fighting, Beckham Reed Crain, of Lexington. She also is survived by four sisters, Edith Poynter, of Cave City, Betsy Waddell, of Cave City, Joyce McCubbin, and husband Thomas McCubbin, of Munfordville and Teresa Owens, and husband Steve Owens, of Cave City; her brother-in-law, Greg Spann, and wife Renee Spann, and their son, her nephew, Justin Spann, of Cave City, along with a large number of additional nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles to four generations and countless friends.
Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Cave City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 until 9 p.m. Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Gideons International or American Bible Society in her name to share her love of Christ with the world.

Visitation will be after noon on Friday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Union #1 Church.
Jacky Thomas Wells, 61, of Glasgow
Funeral arrangements for Mr. Wells are incomplete at this time, but are under the direction of A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Billie Frank McDowell, 67, of Burkesville
Funeral service will be Saturday, April 19, at noon, at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 North Main Street, Burkesville, with Rev. James Starks officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday, April 18, from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Elizabeth Ann Bowman Montell, 80, of Tompkinsville
Funeral services will be noon on Friday, April 18, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with Brother Brett Miles and Brother Gary Emberton officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. and Friday 6 a.m. until noon at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Skaggs Creek Cemetery.

Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 9 a.m. until service time Thursday in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home.
Burnis Hellard, 92, of Hillsboro, Ohio
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 19, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Jesse Carl Hutcherson, 83, of Tompkinsville
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, with Brother Paul Strong officiating.
Visitation is Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Ebenzer Cemetery.
Barbara Diane “Shake” Wooten, 73, of Glasgow
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Steven Lee Danner, 44, of Glasgow
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2014, at Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 6 p.m.
Vernon Kester Ketchem, 48, of Greensburg
Funeral services will be Thursday, April 17, at 1 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home, with Brother Robert Allred officiating and burial in Hiseville Cemetery.
Visitation will begin Wednesday, April 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and until time of services on Thursday.
