GLASGOW – Laura Ellen Mitchell, 84, of Glasgow, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her father, Otha Turner; her mother, Mae Smith; and her stepmother, Frankie Turner.
The funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Queens Chapel Baptist Church in Hiseville with the Reverend Ray Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Barlow Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Watts and Percell Funeral Home.
Kathy Marlene Spears Shirley
GLASGOW – Kathy Marlene Spears Shirley, 47, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012.
She was previously employed for 18 years as a LPN at NHC Healthcare.
She is survived by her daughter, Helena Grace Shirley; her parents, Ruel Odell and Brigitte Helga Spears; two uncles, Paul Spears, and his wife Helen, and Fberhard Zipf, of Germany; her aunt, Marlena Kunzelmann, of Germany; her cousins, Tim McClellan, and his wife Jennifer, Tony Anderson and Mike Anderson.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at Hatcher and Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
SCOTTSVILLE – Faye Stone, 75, of Scottsville, died at 5:13 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph Aubrey Terrell and Nannie Clyde Borders Terrell.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Goad Funeral Home with Chaplain Bob Ward officiating and burial in Walker’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after 8 a.m. Sunday, until funeral time, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Southern Kentucky. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
