Janet A. Barrett
VANCOUVER, Wash. – Janet A. Barrett, 57, of Vancouver, Wash., and formerly of Glasgow, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, in Vancouver, Wash.
Born in Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Joe Dugard Jr. and Dorothy Copas Dugard. Ms. Barrett was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanetta Jones and husband Donnie, of Glasgow; two sons, Jason Wood and wife Lori, of Vancouver, Wash., and David Holmes and wife Melissa, of Portland, Ore; seven grandchildren, Brittany Walden, of Edmonton, J.T. Walden, of Glasgow, Michaela Walden, of Glasgow, Cameron and Cody Holmes and their mother Aubrey Holmes, of Portland, Ore., Jacob Wood of Vancouver, Wash., and Lexie Shugart, of Glasgow; a great-grandson, Tristan Young, of Edmonton; and a half-brother, Joe David Dugard, of Plymouth, Ind.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Shugart, and a brother, Richard Dugard.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in White Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Imogene Page Billingsley
SUMMER SHADE – Imogene Page Billingsley, 74, of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Saint Thomas Hospital, in Nashville, Tenn.
Imogene was born in Tompkinsville, on Aug. 28, 1939, a daughter of the late Edith (Bartley) and Otha Clinard Page. In 1959, she married Robert K. “Junior” Billingsley, who precedes her in death.
Visitation is in progress and will continue on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at Yokley Trible Funeral Home at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 11, with Lewis Blythe officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Henry Clay Hagan
LOUISVILLE – Henry Clay Hagan, 69, of Louisville, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at his home.
He was born in Barren County, a son of the late Vester James Hagan and Kittie May Marcum Hagan. Mr. Hagan was an employee of General Electric Company in Louisville.
He is survived by two daughters, Karen Sue Miller (Ronald), of Brookes, and Penny Holloman (Chris), of Rochester, Minn.; five grandchildren, Telina Allison, of Louisville, Kevin Dunn, of Shepherdsville, Jessica Muehl (Patrick), of Louisville, Michael and Tristin Holloman, both of Rochester, Minn.; one brother, Roger Ray Hagan, of Edmonton; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with a graveside service immediately following at Hiseville Cemetery.
Mary W. Hope
LOUISVILLE – Mary W. Hope, 94, formerly of Cave City, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Rockford Health & Rehab in Louisville. She was the widow of Marvin Ray Hope.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. EST on Tuesday, Jan. 14, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, with visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday. Graveside services at Cave City Cemetery will be at noon on Tuesday.
Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, is in charge of local arrangements.
MUNFORDVILLE – Marty Melton, 44, of Munfordville, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Hart County Health Care Center.
He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Melton.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Donnie and Susan Horton, of Munfordville.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in Benningfield Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
Mary Matilda Taylor Holcomb Tate
GAMALIEL – Mary Matilda Taylor Holcomb Tate, 84, of Gamaliel, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville.
She was the daughter of the late James Otto Taylor and Mary Miranda Combs Taylor.
Visitation will begin after 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 13 and after 7:30 a.m. Tuesday at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Gamaliel Cemetery in Gamaliel.
Memorials are suggested to Monroe Health & Rehab for residents.
Marcella Lynn Webb Vincent
MAMMOTH CAVE – Marcella Lynn Webb Vincent, 60, of Mammoth Cave, died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn.
The Edmonson County native was born on June 29, 1953, to the late Noah K. Webb Sr. and Helen Skaggs Webb.
She was the wife of Bill Vincent, who survives.
Visitation is in progress at Ollie United Baptist Church and will continue until the time of the funeral service. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at the church with burial in the church cemetery. Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
WATERVIEW – Margaret Shelley Bryant, 95, of the Waterview community near Burkesville, died Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, at Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the memory chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dutch Creek Cemetery.
EDMONTON – Reba Ellen Miller, 57, of Edmonton, died Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Refuge Cemetery.
