MUNFORDVILLE — Mary Rose Lush, 70, of Munfordville, died at 7:24 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at Caverna Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
She was the daughter of the late Archie and Eva Wilhoit Thompson.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in Munfordville Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Paul Edward Porter
GLASGOW — Paul Edward Porter, 69, of Glasgow, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at his home.
Born in Madison, Wisc., he was the son of the late James and Alvina Hanson Porter. He was a retired firefighter and former owner and operator of PEP Fire Equipment in Glasgow. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U.S. Air Force. Paul was a Mason and a member of the Masonic lodges of Glasgow, Cave City and Tompkinsville.
He is survived by his significant other, Diana DeCarlo, of Glasgow; two sons, Brian Porter of Massachusetts and Troy Jessee of Georgia; a daughter, Michele Martin of California; a brother, Gary Porter of California; a sister, Wanda Laker of Oregon; and one grandchild.
Mr. Porter chose cremation and no visitation. There will be a Masonic service 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Cave City Masonic Lodge, 702 N. Dixie Hwy., Cave City, and the public is welcome to attend.

Herman R. Saltsman
GLASGOW — Herman R. Saltsman, 84, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born in Grayson County, a son of the late Bill and Flora Harp Saltsman. Herman was a farmer and a member of Grider Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Polson Saltsman; two children, Pam Saltsman of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Mike Saltsman and wife Melissa, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Matthew, Cassidie and Ryne Saltsman; three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Vance, Bella and Halle Saltsman; three brothers, William Saltsman Jr. and wife Betty, of Columbus, Ind., Roscoe Saltsman and Hayden Saltsman, of Glasgow; three sisters, Stella Gooden and husband Junior, of Bon Ayr, Dorine Reece, of Glasgow, and Mona Pierce and husband Windell, of Taylorsville, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Coy, Roy, Sherman and George Saltsman; and three sisters, Callie Jeffries, Linnie Fields and Sylvia Saltsman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday.
GLASGOW – Lucille Williams Johnson, 95, of Glasgow, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Hospice House in Bowling Green. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
GLASGOW – Lilly Maude Turner, 89, of Glasgow, died Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, at NHC Healthcare Facility in Glasgow. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
