John William Gallagher
GLASGOW – John William Gallagher, 66, of Glasgow, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
He was born in Louisville, the son of Willard and Mary Mathley Embry. John was a former police officer for the Louisville and Edmonton Police departments and also an employee of Lyons Company in Glasgow.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Eudy Gallagher; two sons, Daniel Gallagher (Ashley) and Matt Gallagher (Kandis), both of Edmonton; four grandchildren, Griffin and Konner Gallagher and Cheyenne and Kailey Bartlett; one sister, Joyce Dewitt, of Brandenburg; and an aunt, Betty Lynch (Tee), of Cromwell.
He was preceded in death by a son, Josh Aaron Gallagher.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Thursday.
Runell McPherson Hamilton
SUMMER SHADE – Runell McPherson Hamilton, 91, of Summer Shade, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at NHC in Glasgow.
She was the wife of the late Travis Hamilton and daughter of the late Home McPherson and Nellie Parrish McPherson.
Funeral service was Monday, Dec. 23, at 11 a.m. at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
Burial was in White Cemetery in Monroe County.
Memorials are suggested to White Cemetery.
James Allen Mandrell
SCOTTSVILLE – James Allen Mandrell, 52, of Scottsville, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at his home.
He was the son of the late James Ray Mandrell and Rosa Wanda Mandrell.
Visitation will be after 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Strode Funeral Home in Scottsville.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Allen County Memorial Gardens.
MUNFORDVILLE – Connie Page, 53, of Munfordville, formerly of Hoopeston, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Danville, Ill. on Dec. 13, 1960. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn Lile and David Blakey Sr.
Funeral services will be private, under direction of Winn Funeral Home of Horse Cave. There will be no visitation.
