J.T. Logsdon Sr.
GLASGOW — J.T. Logsdon Sr., 67, of Glasgow, died Friday, July 13, 2012, at V. A. Hospital in Louisville.
Born in Glasgow, he was the son of the late Jesse Logsdon and Mamie Walden Bartley of Glasgow, who survives. Mr. Logsdon was veteran of the U. S. Army.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Sandra Hale, of Park City; a son, J. T. Logsdon Jr., of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Zach, Derek and Noah Logsdon and Lachrisha Poynter; four great-grandchildren, Kea Poynter, Caleb McClellan, Vontavious Poynter and Lakyha Poynter; a brother, J. B. Logsdon, of Glasgow; three sisters, Jo Ann Henderson, Louise Blair and Linda Cook, all of Glasgow; a special friend, Wanda Bartley; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, July17, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, burial will be in Cave City Cemetery with Military Honors provided by DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after noon Monday at the funeral home.
PARK CITY — William Raymond Schmidt, 57, of Park City, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, in Bowling Green.
The Philadelphia, Penn., native was the son of the late Robert L. Schmidt and Joan E. Beale Schmidt, of Marlton, N.J. He was a cook at Mammoth Resort, an Army veteran and of Catholic faith.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Marie Schmidt, of Park City; a brother, Robert Schmidt (Felicia), of Brownsville; and a sister, Robin Schmidt, of California.
The family chose cremation with no visitation services. Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
BOWLING GREEN — Patsy Winston Miller Tapscott, affectionately known as “Pat” passed away July 14, 2012, at 6:43 a.m. surrounded by her family.
Pat will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Pat was born in Cave Valley on May 12, 1931, to the late Richard Allison and Virginia Miller. She was a faithful member of Eastwood Baptist Church.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Richard Miller.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Williams Tapscott; three children, John Walter Tapscott (Sally), Joni Tapscott Parrent (Rob), Jinni Tapscott Hoggard (David); eight grandchildren, Lauren Parrent Wilson, John Tapscott, Sarah Tapscott, Jackson Hoggard, Caroline Tapscott, Cody Parrent, Josie Hoggard, Jesse Hoggard; and one great-granddaughter, Sierra Tapscott; a brother, CD Miller; two sisters, Jane Cantrell and Betty Gaines, all of Campbellsville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 21 at Eastwood Baptist Church will memorial service to follow at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Eastwood Baptist Church Building Fund, Bowling Green. Arrangements are by J.C. Kirby & Son.
