Roy Fred Capps Sr.
BURKESVILLE – Roy Fred Capps Sr., 87, of Burkesville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Cumberland County Hospital.
He was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Cumberland County, Ky., to the late William T. and Cora Arms Capps. He was a former employee of Sorenson Manufacturing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, R. Fred Capps; three sisters, Jewell Cash, Allyne Stidham and Pauline Ballard; and two brothers, Cecil Capps and Loyd Capps.
Survivors include his wife, Delcie Wright Capps, of Burkesville; one son, Rick Capps, and his wife Kimberly, of Burkesville; daughter-in-law, Catherine Capps, of Burkesville; sister, Robbie Capps Scott, of Burkesville; brothers, Horace Capps, of Burkesville, and Van Capps, and his wife Arlene, of New Mexico; sister-in-law, Marie Capps, of Burkesville; four grandchildren, Sarah Capps Hayes, and her husband Dustin Hayes, of Bowling Green, Elizabeth Capps Stice, and her husband Jonathan Stice, of Bowling Green, John Capps, of Burkesville, and his fiance’ Jessica Garmon, and Lydia Capps of Lexington, and her fiance’ Adam Terry; and several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Burkesville, with Brother Raymond Castillo and Brother David Eldridge officiating, followed by burial in Burkesville Cemetery.
Family requests visitation from 5 until 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Ballou and Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.
GLASGOW – Roger Carnahan, 63, of Glasgow, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Wintersong Village Healthcare in Ohio.
He was born in Glasgow, the son of the late L.R. and Sarah Sisco Carnahan. Roger had attended Brotherhood Freewill Baptist Church.
He is survived by a brother, Ellis Carnahan (Sheila), of Horse Cave; a sister, Barbara England, of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy and Harold Carnahan; and a sister, Louise Settles.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at A.F. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in Turner Cemetery at Mud Lick. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Friday.
