GLASGOW — Herman R. Saltsman
GLASGOW — Herman R. Saltsman, 84, of Glasgow, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at his home. He was born in Grayson County, a son of the late Bill and Flora Harp Saltsman. Herman was a farmer and a member of the Grider Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Polson Saltsman; two children, Pam Saltsman of Mount Juliet, Tenn., and Mike Saltsman and wife Melissa, of Glasgow; three grandchildren, Matthew, Cassidie and Ryne Saltsman; three great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Vance, Bella and Halle Saltsman; three brothers, William Saltsman Jr. and wife Betty, of Columbus, Ind., Roscoe Saltsman and Hayden Saltsman, of Glasgow; three sisters, Stella Gooden and husband Junior, of Bon Ayr, Dorine Reece, of Glasgow, and Mona Pierce and husband Windell, of Taylorsville, Ind., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Coy, Roy, Sherman and George Saltsman; and three sisters, Callie Jeffries, Linnie Fields and Sylvia Saltsman.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. Monday.
