Clay Dean Bailey
RED BOILING SPRINGS, Tenn. – Clay Dean Bailey, 64, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at Sumner Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn.
He was the son of the late Guy Thomas Bailey and Goldie Muriel Eudy Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gulley Bailey, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13, and after 7:30 a.m. on Saturday at Strode Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Clementsville Cemetery in Clay County, Tenn.
Gertrude Harlow Bloniarczyk
CAVE CITY – Gertrude Harlow Bloniarczyk, 97, of Cave City, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at her home.
The Barren County native was the daughter of Harmon and Opha Chapman Harlow and her husband was the late Frank Bloniarczyk. She was a school teacher and school principal for 37 years, spending most of her career in Saginaw, Mich. She was a member of Park City Baptist Church.
Survivors include a niece, Teresa Watson and husband Barry, of Glasgow; two nephews, Harmon “Hardy” Harlow and wife Connie, of Park City, and Leo W. Hardy Jr., of Cave City; several great-nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew; one great-great-great niece and her caregivers, Mary Glover and Betty Pruitt.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo W. Harlow and Leslie Marshall Harlow, and a niece, Lesley Childers.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Walnut Hill Baptist Church with burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home on Friday beginning at 5 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. until time for the service.
Steven Hascal Bush
RINEYVILLE – Steven Hascal Bush, 53, of Rineyville, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at his residence.
He was a native of Glasgow, a member of First Christian Church in Glasgow and a member of the Kentucky Racing Commission where he raised thoroughbreds.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Bertram Bush.
He is survived by his wife of one year, Cindy Dean Bush; son, Steven Jacob Bush, of Elizabethtown; father, Dennis Reid Bush, of Glasgow; brother, Michael Bush and wife Karen, of Tracy; sisters, Kay Bush and Sue Ellen Muse and husband Joe, all of Glasgow, and Lesley Bush Cagle and husband Todd, of Chester, Va.; stepson, Shelby Dean Tyler, of Harrodsburg; and stepdaughter, Amber Joann Tyler, of Harrodsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Brown Funeral Home, Elizabethtown, with Brother Doug Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery in Harrodsburg. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and continue after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Agnes D. (Ford) Gravens
LOUISVILLE – Agnes D. (Ford) Gravens, 89, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, in Louisville.
She was the daughter of the late Burford and Nancy Ford, and wife of the late Lonnie B. Gravens.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Union #1 Baptist Church in Fountain Run with interment to follow in Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, at 10 a.m. until time of service.
Fountain Run Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Carol S. Kjellmark
GLASGOW – Carol S. Kjellmark, 78, died Dec. 9, 2013, at Signature Healthcare in Nashville, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anna Sorensen.
She is survived by her brothers, Robert Sorensen, of Florida, and Neil Sorensen, of California; two sons, Chris Kjellmark, of Iowa, and Eric Kjellmark, of Florida; a daughter, Heidi K. Aitken, of Tennessee; three grandchildren, Chandra Kjellmark, Spencer Aitken and Trevor Aitken.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at First United Methodist Church, 500 S. Green St., Glasgow, KY 42141. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations, may be made to First United Methodist Church or Animal Shelter of Barren County.
Willie Frank Rhoton
RED BOILING SPRINGS – Willie Frank Rhoton, 50, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at his residence.
He was the son of Kathy Stafford Rhoton, of Red Boiling Springs, Tenn., and the late Frankie Harold Rhoton.
Funeral service was 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Strode’s Gamaliel Chapel in Gamaliel.
Burial was in Harlans Crossroads Cemetery in Monroe County.
Dallis R. Wilson
FLORENCE – Dallis R. Wilson, 80, of Florence, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, at his home.
Born in Metcalfe County, he was the son of the late Sherman and Myrtie Hubbard Wilson and a retired construction supervisor.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Shaw Wilson, of Florence; one son, Roger D. (Kim) Wilson, of Florence; four daughters, Susie (Mark) Hawkins, of Munster, Ind., Barbara (Ken) Bowmann, of Burlington, Shirley (Jeff) Stein, of Harrison, Ohio, and Candy (Gary) Gavin, of Walton; one brother, Woodrow (Latoka) Wilson, of Edmonton; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Wilson; three brothers, Sherman A. Wilson, Earl Wilson and Oris Wilson; seven sisters, Lillian Compton, Gladys Bragg, Blanche Badke, Ada Compton, Zoy Wilson, Delsie Wilson and Bessie Caffee.
Funeral services will be noon Saturday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Hubbard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Anna Sue Zajac
PRICEVILLE –Anna Sue Zajac, 78, of Priceville, died Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at Kensington Manor Nursing Facility in Elizabethtown.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ora Childress Hester and the wife of the late Donald J. Zajac.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16, in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in Smith Cemetery at Priceville. Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and after 8 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
LONE STAR RIDGE – Harold Wayne Turner, 62, of the Lone Star Ridge community, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at House of Prayer Church. Burial will be in Summer Shade Cemetery. McMurtrey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
