SAVOYARD— Edgar Buford Chaney, 58, died Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was the son of the late Luther Jack and Georgie Gray Chaney. Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in Houk Cemetery. Visitation continues after 9 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Leonard Hurshel Glass GLASGOW — Leonard Hurshel Glass, 78, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at his residence. Born in Barren County, he was the son of the late Orien and Virgie Bunch Glass. Mr. Glass was a member of the Lick Branch Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Houchens Glass of Glasgow; two daughters: Tammy Richardson (Steve) of Glasgow and Pam West (Chris) of Radcliff; four grandchildren: Amanda Elmore, Sara Richardson, Brad West and George West; a brother: Kenneth Glass (Joyce) of Lebanon, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four sisters: Louise Broady, Aline Norris, Christine Glass and Iva Mae Glass; and three brothers: Hubert, Avilee and Herman Glass. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery with military honors provided by DAV Chapter No. 20 of Glasgow. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. www.crowfuneralhome.com Earl E. Wood GLASGOW — Earl E. Wood 93 of Cave City died Thursday October 29, 2009 at his residence. Born September 31, 1916 in Barren County the son of the late Tom Wood and the late Fannie (Martin) Wood. Mr. wood was a farmer and retired employee of the Glasgow Daily Times. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of the DAV Chapter #20 of Glasgow. Mr. Wood was a member of Pleasant Union Baptist church.
