GLASGOW — William Byrd Chapman, 19, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born in Barren County, the son of Darrell and Marla Ewing Chapman, of Glasgow, who survive. "Will" had attended Barren County Schools and the Beckton Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers: Keason Chapman (Melissa) and Adam Chapman, both of Glasgow; three sisters: LaDarra Chapman of Glasgow, Kimra Glover (Paul) of El Paso, Texas, and Taisy Chapman of Glasgow; nieces and nephews: Colby Rich, Dalton Bunch, Konagher Smith, Kallen Smith, Kayla Beth Chapman, Terry Paul Glover, Kelissa Chapman, Emily Chapman, Keily Chapman and Lilly Chapman. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today (Monday) at the funeral home. www.crowfuneralhome.com Brother Ewell T. Cooper CAVE CITY — Brother Ewell T. Cooper, 87, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009, at his home. The Hart County native was the son of the late Brother A.P. and Della Adwell Cooper. He was a member of the Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was ordained in 1944 and pastored several churches in Barren and surrounding counties. Survivors include his wife, Lillian Sturgeon Cooper; a son, Jewell Cooper (Brenda); a daughter-in-law, Connie Cooper, all of Cave City; a daughter, Sharon Williams (Lennis), Glasgow; a grandson, Nicholas Williams, Glasgow. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mae Vincent Cooper; a son, Charles Cooper, five brothers and six sisters. Funeral services, with Brother Danny Wayne Sexton officiating, will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, at Little Hope Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at which time the body will be moved to the church.
