Robert ‘Bobby’ Clark

BOWLING GREEN — Robert “Bobby” Clark, 64 died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at Medical Center in Bowling Green.

Born Jan. 28, 1945, in Bowling Green, he was the son of the late Finis Clark and the late Nannie Strange Clark. He was the husband of Barbara Clayton Clark of Bowling Green. He was a graduate of High Street High School and was employed by Waky Sign Inc. A graphic artist, Bobby loved classic cars, working with his hands doing; art, cabinetry and woodwork. Robert was also a member of Ancient Landmark No. 128. He served in the Army. He was a Veteran of Vietnam. He was a steward of Taylor Chapel A.M.E. Church.

Surviving are sons: Troy (Elaine) James of New York, Rick (Wanda) James of North Carolina, Dano (Dewanda) Byrd of Bowling Green, Choyce Clark of Bowling Green, Timothy Clark of Bowling Green, Patrick (Gloria) Clark of Tennessee, children: Michael “Jacques” Delaney of Bowling Green, Marcina (Jim) King of Virginia, Jeffrey Byrd and William Byrd, both of Bowling Green; sisters: Mrs. Marguerite White of Princeton, Mrs. Katie Golden of Bowling Green, Mrs. Elizabeth (Welmon) Britt of Bowling Green and Mrs. Louise Travis of Pontiac, Mich.; aunt: Katie Kinnard of Edmonton; grandchildren: Trevor, Troy, Tyoun, Charisse, Terrell, Dominque, Monique, Ricquael, LaToya, Crystal, Damien, Kaelin, Allison, Payton and Patrick; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; mother-in-law: Mrs. Nintha Clayton, Glasgow; in-laws: James Clayton, Glasgow, Brenda (John) Anderson, Glasgow, Laura (Willie) Young, Bowling Green, and Selester (Kenneth) Thomas, Glasgow.

He was predeceased by brothers, Mr. Finis Clark, Mr. Hershel Clark, Mr. Elzie Clark and Mr. Joseph Clark; sisters, Mrs. Marguerine Grooms and Mrs. Lillie Dean Beason.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at Mount Zion Baptist Church of Bowling Green, located at 175 Graham Drive, Bowling Green, Ky. 42101 with the Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Military honors and interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Bowling Green.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, at Burnam & Son Mortuary, 201 Center Street, Bowling Green.

Jackie Franklin Jones

CAVE CITY — Jackie Franklin Jones, 55, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

He was a self-employed carpenter.

He was the son of the late James Jones and Marie Vaught Jones of Crestview, Fla.

He is also survived by his wife: Brenda McKinney Jones; three daughters: Sabrina Clark, New Haven, Laticia Mahoney, New Haven, Tina Mahoney, New Haven; one son: Kevin Gerleman of Iowa; mother: Marie Vaught Jones of Crestview, Fla.; two sisters: Rebecca Godwin, Crestview, Fla., Loretta Centerfit, Crestview, Fla.; four brothers: Pascal Jones, New Haven, Dalton Jones, Crestview, Fla., Jessie Jones, Crestview, Fla., Lonnie Jones, Horse Cave; three half sisters: Mary Lou Clark of New Haven, Kiwana Jones of Ohio, Connie Asher of Sidney, Ohio; and 18 grandchildren.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Faye Ridgeway; two sisters: Sylvia Wilkerson and Molly Richardson; and one brother, Steve Jones.
