GLASGOW — Betty Marie Bailey, 70, died Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was born in Barren County. Her father was the late Malcolm Mosby and her mother was the late Irene Greer who, along with her husband, Cobb Greer, raised Mrs. Bailey. She was a graduate of Ralph Bunch High School, a homemaker and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons: Sidney Bailey (Iris) of Glasgow and David Bailey (Jennifer) of Glasgow; one daughter: Genia Mitchell (Billy) of Glasgow; a special son: Marcus Britt of Glasgow; 11 grandchildren: Dominic and Ashley Bailey, Tony and Aissia Bailey, Maurice and Keiloni Mitchell, Courtney Martin, Amber Martin, Michael Bradley, Sammy Bradley and Kennedy Bailey; five great-grandchildren: Kaden and Keira Bailey, Kamairie Mitchell, and Javid and Skylee Bailey; three sisters: Ann Hunter (William), Charlene Bailey (Winston) and Frances Stockton (Charles), all of Glasgow; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Powell Bailey; and a sister, Jeanette Massey. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at the First Baptist Church, at 611 S. Lewis St. in Glasgow, with burial in the Barlow Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church on Sunday from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10 a.m. until time for the service. Arrangements are under the direction of A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. www.crowfuneralhome.com Charles W. Dyer GAMALIEL — Charles W. Dyer, 79, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Monroe Health & Rehab in Tompkinsville. He was the son of the late Willie Robert Dyer and Anice McDonald Dyer. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13, at Strode Funeral Home, Gamaliel Chapel, with burial in Corinth Gardens in Macon County, Tenn. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association.
