MUNFORDVILLE — Fowler Crain, 80, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at his residence. The Hart County native was born on Sept. 1, 1929. He was employed as a security officer by the U.S. Treasury Department and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was the son of the late Fowler J. Crain and the late Rubye (Storey) Crain. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Lucy (Richardson) Crain, Glasgow; two sons: Mike Crain, Newport News, Va., and David Crain, Glasgow. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today (Tuesday) at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with Brother Harold Sharber officiating. Rogers PARK CITY — Virginia M. Rogers, 80, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Barren County native was the daughter of the late Raymond Clyde and Mable Martin Thomas and the widow of Lenard Rogers. She was a saleslady for Walmart and attended Salem Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons: Steve Rogers, Mark Rogers and Scott Rogers; two brothers: Raymond Clyde Thomas Jr., Clarksville, Ind., Richard (Margie) Thomas, Glasgow; three sisters: Grace (J.T.) Pedigo, Glasgow, Louetta Pedigo, Glasgow, Brenda (Tony) Martin, Horse Cave; a son-in-law: James Milburn; three grandchildren: Brad Milburn, Jim Milburn, Chris (Michelle) Rogers and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Dinah Milburn. Funeral services with Rev. Eddie Atkins officiating will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Park City.
