GLASGOW — I. C. “Curt” Harris, 84, died Thursday, June 4, 2009, at his residence. A son of the late Sally Florence Compton and Ira Lee Harris, he was a retired salesman and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Frances; three children: Ronnie Harris and wife, Saundra, and Debbie Chaney, all of Glasgow, Ricky Harris of Lexington; eight grandchildren: Stacy Mills and Jamie Harris of Glasgow, Andy Mills (Marilyn), Hayley Harris and Lynsay Harris, of Lexington, Stephanie Harris Jarvis (Jason) of Zion, Ill., David Harris (Jennifer) of Palmdale, Calif., and Kathy Mills of Savannah, Tenn.; eight great-grandchildren: Evan Jarvis, Lexi Mills, Hadley Harris, Briggs Harris, Vincent Harris, Nicholas Harris, Sophia Harris and Isabelle Harris; one sister: Dorothy Shirley of Greensburg; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV. Friends may call after 3 p.m. today (Friday) at the funeral home. Alternate expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kosair Charities. www.hatchersaddler.com James J.T. Hawkins LOUISVILLE — James J.T. Hawkins, 73, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, at University of Louisville Hospital. He was the son of the late Eddie Haskins and the late Mamie Haskins. Survivors include his wife, Diane Haskins, of Louisville. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Bearwallow Baptist Church, Horse Cave, with burial in Bearwallow Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Friday) from 6 to 9 p.m. at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
