Sunday, May 31, 2009, Obituaries Staff reportsGlasgow Daily Times Beloved mother leaves daughter, Elizabeth Hagan, of Lenoir City, Tenn., and son, David, and Sue Hagan of Chattanooga, Tenn.; granddaughters, Beth Hagan and Jeff and Brittany Eastridge of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brothers, Rev. Gerald and Madge Britt and Robert and Laverne Britt of Glasgow. She was exceptionally close to her sister-in-law, Jane Britt, and niece, Nina Price of Glasgow; many nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Sunday, May 31, from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral with Dr. Clarence Sexton and Rev. Gary King officiating. Hunt, 77, of Glasgow died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at the Barren County Health Care Facility in Glasgow. His arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home.
Cecil Lenford Martin GLASGOW – Cecil Lenford Martin, 75, of Glasgow, died Friday, May 29, 2009, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a retired manager of the Publication Room at R.R. Donnelley & Sons and a member of the Church of Christ in Nashville. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict era. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Corine Martin; one daughter, Vanessa Abidoye and husband, Emmanuel, of Marietta, Ga.; one grandson, Cecil J. Abidoye of Marietta; one step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Abidoye; one sister, Agatha Sublett and husband, Edward, of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Effie Martin; his foster parents, Annie and Doc Martin; and one sister, Olene Martin Roundtree. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2009, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the Glasgow Chapter 20 DAV. Visitation will be after noon Monday at the funeral home. Wayne E. ‘Rut’ Rutledge
