Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home of Burkesville is in charge of arrangements. Elizabeth K. ‘Libby’ Brownfield GLASGOW — Elizabeth K. “Libby” Brownfield, 78, of Glasgow, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A daughter of the late Christine Smith and Ellis Redford Church, she was a homemaker. Survivors include one son: Tony Brownfield and his wife Donna, of Glasgow; one granddaughter: Kara Perkins and her husband Ronnie; two grandsons: Andy Brownfield and his fiance Chelsea Harbert and Ben Brownfield, all of Glasgow; two sisters: Louise Ralston of Louisville and Imogene Davis of New Albany, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Brownfield, and one brother, W.T. Church. Graveside services will be noon Monday at the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Hazel Nadine Druen MUNFORDVILLE — Hazel Nadine Druen, 85, of Bowling Green, formerly of Munfordville, passed away at 7:40 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Britthaven Nursing Home in Bowling Green. Mrs. Druen was born in Green County to the late William Jennings Bryan Weller and Nellie Mae Thompson Weller. Mrs. Druen owned and operated a beauty shop in Hardyville for several years, she was employed as a funeral director from 1953-1981 with Sego Funeral Home and she and her husband owned and operated Sego Funeral Home from 1981 until their retirement in 1998. She served on the advisory board of directors for Hart County Bank & Trust Company, was a former member of the board for Pearl Webb Cemetery, taught Sunday School at Hardyville Union Church and was a member of the Hardyville Baptist Church. Mrs. Druen was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Leon Druen, a sister: Margaret Nell Crabtree and by two infant brothers: William Spencer Weller and Samuel Henry Weller. She is survived by a daughter: Teresa Hardcastle and husband Amel of Bowling Green; two grandchildren: Amelia Jones and husband Darrin and Melodye Campbell and husband Jason; and four great-grandchildren: Matthew Phelps, Bethanne Jones, Taylor Brooke Campbell and Nathan Jones, all of Bowling Green.
