GLASGOW — Edward D. Carney, 72, died Wednesday, May 14, 2008, at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. His arrangements are incomplete, but are under the direction of the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Frankie Wayne Flowers SUMMER SHADE — Frankie Wayne Flowers, 66, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. The Clinton County native was a son of the late Willie Flowers and Etta Pierce, who survives and lives in Albany. He worked in the logging industry. In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Stacy Anderson and husband Todd of Albany; one son, Kelvin Flowers and wife Leanne of Summer Shade; one sister, Wanda Logsdon of Dayton, Ohio; one brother, William (Jan) Flowers of Breeding and one half brother, Jimmy Riddle of Albany; two grandchildren, Lucas and Allison Flowers; special companion and caregiver, Eva Vibbert; and extended family, Carolyn Nunnally of Glasgow, Peggy Jewell of Center and Melissa Chapman of Willow Shade. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Prentis (Jack) Flowers. Funeral services will be Friday, May 16, at 1 p.m. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will begin Thursday, May 15, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Philip Byrd ‘Phil’ Wells Sr. GLASGOW — Philip Byrd “Phil” Wells Sr., 86, a resident of Highland Ridge, died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a son of the late Annie Rogers and L.L. Wells Sr. and husband of the late Anne Hackney Wells. He was a retired insurance executive and tobacco warehouseman.
