A.B. Disman
SCOTTSVILLE — A.B. Disman, 79, died at 10:09 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at his residence.
The Allen County native was a farmer and a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He was a son of the late James Henry Disman and Betty Elizabeth Pedigo Disman.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Weaver Disman, Scottsville; one son: Jim Disman and his wife, Dana Bottoms Disman, Scottsville; four daughters: Nina Hurt-Barron and her husband, Danny, Bowling Green, Diane Hunter, Darlene Yates and her husband, Ricky, Lisa Calvert and her husband, Wayne, all of Scottsville; two sisters-in-law: Lorene Ferguson and Marie Weaver, both of Scottsville; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sons: James Arnold Disman and Carlene Disman; one grandson: Joshua Roger Hurt; three brothers: Carl Disman, Riley Disman and John Henry Disman; two sisters: Blanche Shields and Jeanette Smith.
Funeral services for A.B. Disman will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2008, at Goad Funeral Home, Scottsville, with Brother Danny Holland and Brother Robby Calvert officiating with burial in Hopewell Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. today at Goad Funeral Home.

Lucille Rigdon Gardner
MUNFORDVILLE — Lucille Rigdon Gardner, 76, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Hart County Health Care Center in Horse Cave.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence Herbert Rigdon and Nora (Doyle) Rigdon. Survivors include her husband, A. “Buster” Gardner.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at Center Point Missionary Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with interment in the Cub Run Cemetery. Visitation continues until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville.

Dorothy Dorene Hubbard
EDMONTON — Dorothy Dorene Hubbard, 86, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.
She was the daughter of the late John and Anna Walters Romines and wife of the late Belvidere (BB) Hubbard. She was a homemaker and member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3 until 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
She is survived by three sons: Jimmie Hubbard and John (Janelle) Hubbard, both of Edmonton, and Edward (Connie) Hubbard of Berea; three daughters: Carolyn (Charles) England of Columbus, Ind., June (Dewey) Fields of Edmonton and Ramona (John) McCubbins) of Horse Cave; two sisters: Doris Watson of Virginia and June Brown of Illinois; 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters and a daughter-in-law, Ruth; three granddaughters and two great-grandsons.

Eldon Michael Lewis
GLASGOW — Eldon Michael Lewis, 81, died Wednesday, May 8, 2008, at his residence.
Born in Warren County, he was the son of the late Renick and Ruby Smith Lewis. Mr. Lewis was a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church and was retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Army and Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Elfreda Chenoweth Lewis; a son, Michael Lewis of Glasgow; a sister, Jo Ann Bunch of Louisville; three brothers: Charles Lewis of Glasgow, Rondal Lewis of Florida and Richard Lewis of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.  
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Margaret Ruby Wells
GLASGOW — Margaret Ruby Wells, 86, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, but under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

GLASGOW — Jewell Hurt Atkinson, 81, died Monday, May 5, 2008, at the NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday.
GLASGOW — Jessie Margaret Bradshaw, 89, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Bowles Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
TOMPKINSVILLE — Julia Walker Collins died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at the Monroe County Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be Friday, May 9, at 1 p.m. at McMurtrey Funeral Home with burial in the Skaggs Creek Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. today.
LUCAS — Russell Hellard, 89, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in Glasgow. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to T.J. Samson Hospice.
