Wednesday, May 6, 2009, Obituaries His faith led him to many churches including: Columbia Circuit in Columbia, Allensville Stevenson Chapel in Logan County; Parkway United Methodist and St. Peter United Methodist churches, both in Louisville; State Street United Methodist Church in Bowling Green; Russell Springs United Methodist Church; Longview United Methodist Church in Hardin County; Kenwood United Methodist and Cooper Chapel United Methodist churches in Louisville, where he retired. He attended Munfordville United Methodist Church and filled in for various churches in the region after his retirement. He was the son of the late Mitchell Young Chamberlain and the late Lou Kerley Chamberlain.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Cox Chamberlain of Nashville; one son: Mitchell Edward Chamberlain (Bettye) of Nashville; two grandchildren: Russell Chamberlain (Inga) of Seattle, Wash., and Erin Washler (Zach) of Frankfort, Ind.; one great-grandson: Ian Chamberlain of Seattle, Wash.; and one sister, Alyce Preston of Park City. A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Munfordville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Zach Washler and the Rev. Rick Johnson officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green. Visitation will be from noon until time of the service on Saturday at the church. www.brooksfuneralhomeky.com Mack Meredith MUNFORDVILLE — Mack Meredith, 57, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, at Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave. He was the son of the late James O. Meredith and Dorothy Cross Meredith. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 8, at Brooks Funeral Home, Munfordville, with burial in Munfordville City Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday), from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. to time of services Friday at the funeral home. Presley Monroe Jr. CAVE CITY — Presley Monroe Jr., 77, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at his residence. He was the son of the late Presley Monroe Sr. and Mossie Smith Monroe. Survivors include his wife, Joyce Grimes Monroe. Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City, are incomplete at this time.
