John William Baker
FRANKLIN — John William Baker, 73, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at the Medical Center in Franklin.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home, Franklin, where services will be held Sunday, April 5, 2009, at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Franklin, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
A native of Glasgow, he was the son of the late James Herriford Baker and the late Pearl Longabaugh Baker.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Berry Baker, of 52 years; two daughters: Terri James and husband Rob of St. James City, Fla., and Margie Hunter and husband David of Sparta, Tenn.; a sister: Mary Lou Harrold of Jacksonville, Fla., and a brother, George Baker of Glasgow; a grandson: Robert James IV; two step grandchildren: Lorie Broyles and husband Lee and Josh Hunter and wife Kara; and a step great-grandchild, Hunter Lee Broyles.
Mr. Baker was a farmer, employee of Tri-County Materials, PIC, and Paradise Marine. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and past president of Simpson County Farm Bureau.
Visitation will begin Saturday, April 4, 2009, at 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., and Sunday from 6 a.m. until noon at Booker-Gilbert Funeral Home. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 p.m. until funeral service time.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Earline C. Kingrey
GLASGOW — Earline C. Kingrey, 81, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow.
She was born in Barren County, the daughter of the late Dan and Ethel Huffman DeVasher. Mrs. Kingrey was a homemaker, a member of the Dry Fork Community Club and was a member of Caney Fork Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Herman; two sons: Terrell Kingrey and wife Marcus and Ronnie Kingrey and wife Jackie, all of Glasgow; one daughter: Jean Gentry and husband Norbert of Glasgow; six grandchildren: Lisa Vibbert (Danny), Patty Wyatt (Ernie), Leslie Gentry (Traci), Meredith Kingrey (Erin), Matt Kingrey (Hannah) and Ryan Kingrey; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three sisters: Leffell DeVasher of Glasgow, Wanda Carpenter of Bowling Green and Jerena Lotts of Ohio; and three brothers: Wallace DeVasher of Bowling Green and Ferrell DeVasher and William A. DeVasher, both of Glasgow.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Cleveland DeVasher.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

James Ervin Bow
EIGHTY EIGHT — James Ervin Bow, 73, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at his home.
He was born in Cumberland County, the son of the late Clarence and Vanis Hurt Bow. James was a carpenter and an employee of Kerley Construction Company before his retirement. He was a member of the Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church at Eighty Eight.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Huffman Bow; a son, Kevin Bow and wife Debbie of Eighty Eight; a daughter, Kathy Riddle and husband Steve of Eighty Eight; two grandchildren: Megan Bow and Jonathan Riddle; and two sisters: Molly Walker of Crawfordsville, Ind., and Gertha Ogborn of Sebring, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Bow; and four half brothers, Howard, Alvin, Stanley and Keen Bow.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Refuge Cemetery at Eighty Eight. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Wilson L. Tenry
GLASGOW — Wilson L. Tenry, 90, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, at NHC Health Care Facility in Glasgow.

GLASGOW — Clifton Maxwell Jones, 88, passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service.

SUMMER SHADE — Nora Lou Miller, 92, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Glenview Healthcare. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at White Cemetery Chapel with burial in the White Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the White Cemetery Fund.

BURKESVILLE — Regina Tobin, 97, died Friday, March 27, 2009, at the Cumberland County Hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Living Word Assembly of God, Burkesville, with burial in the Burkesville Cemetery. Family requests visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home in Burkesville.

BOWLING GREEN — Albert Jackson Vincent, 69, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at the University of Louisville Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel, with burial in Boiling Springs Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

GLASGOW — Floyd Denzil Wood, 76, went home to be with the Lord on the morning of April 1, 2009. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.
