Marjorie Carrier
TOMPKINSVILLE — Marjorie Carrier died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Monroe County Medical Center in Tompkinsville. She was the daughter of the late Albert Cantbell and Rose Robbins King Cantbell and wife of the late Earl Carrier.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, 2008, at 1 p.m. at the Yokley-Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, with burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jean Elizabeth Hishmeh DeVore
NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Jean Elizabeth Hishmeh DeVore, 75, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Fahed Hishmeh and Bediah Totah. Survivors include her husband, Robert DeVore of New Albany, Ind.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home, Horse Cave. A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Caves Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Sally Matthews Sherfey Miller
TAMPA, Fla. — Sally Matthews Sherfey Miller, 96, formerly of Glasgow, entered eternal rest on March 5, 2008, at her residence in Tampa. She was a member of the Forest Hills Presbyterian Church of Tampa, Fla. She was a former member of the Glasgow Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and active in a women’s missionary group.
She was born in Barren County on May 30, 1911, to the late James Luther Matthews and Louisa Nuckols Matthews. Her first husband, Ray Mitchell Sherfey, three brothers, Benjamin Matthews, Mark Matthews and Marvin Matthews, two sisters, Lottie Bacon and Margaret Davis preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her husband, Lewis Miller; her sister, Pauline Brown; her son, Jim Sherfey and wife, Nancy, of Tampa, Fla.; her daughter, Martha Sherfey Lee and husband Grady of Harlan. She is survived by her grandchildren, Karen Sherfey Crawford and husband Steve, Susan Sherfey Holland, Holly Lee Johnson and husband David, James Kelly Lee and wife, Christie. Meredith and John Crawford, Collin and Graham Holland, Joshua and Anne Corey Johnson, Jacob, Anna, Jenna and Linnea Lee are her great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Phoebe Matthews, Delphia Edwards, Ruth Nespojohn, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 15, at 4 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of the Glasgow Baptist Church, 401 S. Green St. The burial will be at the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the Glasgow Baptist Church and your local hospice.

Maynard Stonerock
GLASGOW — Maynard Stonerock, 86, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, at his residence.
Arrangements are incomplete, but under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, Glasgow.

Imogene W. Lewis
NEEDHAM, Ind. — Imogene W. Lewis, 80, passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Franklin, Ind. She was the daughter of the late Porter Thomas and Willie Maude (Broady) Williams.
A service will be conducted on Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton St., Franklin, Ind. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to time of service on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 9135 N. Meridian St., Suite B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46260-1878.

William Bryant ‘Sonny’ Munoz
KENNER, La. — William Bryant “Sonny” Munoz, 61, died Saturday, March 8, 2008, at his residence. He was the son of the late William Moreno Munoz and Mildred Catherine Turner of Kenner, La., who survives.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2008, at Goad Funeral Home, Scottsville, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mary Lois Carroll Schreiber
HARRISBURG, Pa. — Mary Lois Carroll Schreiber, 83, formerly of Cave City, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, in Harrisburg. She was the daughter of the late Edward Ewing Williams and Mary Ann Woodward.
Funeral services will be Saturday, March 15, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Cave City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Thelma Dean Cockrill Shockley
SCOTTSVILLE — Thelma Dean Cockrill Shockley, 84, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She was the daughter of the late Elbridge Porter Cockrill and Dessie Ewing Williams Cockrill and wife of the late Willie Dewey Shockley Jr.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home.

DUBRE — Claude Clifton Anderson, 79, died Monday, March 10, 2008, in the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville. Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, Summer Shade, with burial in the Dutch Creek Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Glasgow DAV Chapter 20 of Glasgow.
GLASGOW — Mary Alice Williams, 88, died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Friday, March 14, at 2 p.m. at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, Glasgow, with burial in the Peers Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today.
