ROCKY HILL — Jane Elizabeth Devine, 64, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at the Medical Center at Bowling Green. She is the daughter of Anna Logsdon Durbin of Sunfish and the late Estil John Durbin. She was a retired LPN from the T.J. Samson Community Hospital where she had worked for 30 years. Besides her mother, she is survived by three children: Travis Turner Devine and his wife Debbie of Merry Oaks, Cathy Anne York and her husband Louie of Glasgow, and Chris John Devine and his wife Kathy of Rocky Hill; one grandchild: Becky Anne York and her fiancé, Jeffery Wooten of Glasgow; one step grandchild: Ashley Michelle Russell of Glasgow; two step great-grandchildren: Malayka Grace Russell and Kelsey Jameson Russell of Glasgow; six brothers: Steve Durbin and his wife Pam of Sunfish, Ray Durbin and his wife Debbie of Sunfish, Dennis Durbin and his wife Sheila of Sunfish, Joe Durbin and his wife Marjean of Chalybeate, Harold Durbin of Yucaipa, Calif., and Pat Durbin and his wife Tyra of Bowling Green; four sisters: Mary Lou Wilson and her husband Randall of Sunfish, Paula Wilson and her husband Estil of Sunfish, Margaret Mathias and her husband Steve of Old Hickory, Tenn., and Carolyn Simon and her husband Don of Bowling Green. Special thanks to her nephew, Johnny Devine; and her faithful companion Bet, her dog. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph William Devine. Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, Glasgow, with burial in the Poplar Log Cemetery. HERMON — Janet Creal McPherson Hodges, 65, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at the University Hospital in Lexington. She was the daughter of the late Denton and Ruth Jones McPherson and a retired bank teller. She was a member of the Poplar Log Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband, Gary Hodges; two daughters: Jana Dubree and husband, Joel, of Mt. Hermon, and Beth Bradshaw and husband, Kevin, of Temple Hill; daughter-in-law: Ellen Hodges; grandchildren: Chelsie and Colby Bradshaw, Nolan and Callie Dubree and John Barton, Taylor, Marlee and Caden Hodges; one brother: Douglas McPherson of Glasgow. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bart Hodges. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. at the White Cemetery Chapel with Brother Bob Norman, Brother Roger Warren and Shawn McPherson officiating. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stan Hodges Jr., Shane McPherson, Mike McPherson, Dale Birge, Joe Neal Finely and Robert Warren. Visitation began at noon today at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, Summer Shade, and continues after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the White Cemetery Chapel. Alternate expressions of sympathy may be made to the White Cemetery or the Poplar Log Church of Christ.
