TOMPKINSVILLE — John Cornell Crowe, 51, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was the son of Mary Ruth Miller Crowe of Tompkinsville and the late Eston Cornell Crowe. Other survivors include his wife, Janie Wilson Crowe of Tompkinsville. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Strode Funeral Home, Gamaliel Chapel, with burial in the Beautiful Home Cemetery in Monroe County. Visitation is in progress at the funeral home. Jerry N. Gray CAVE CITY — Jerry N. Gray, 60, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at his residence. Arrangements are incomplete, but under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home. Dorothy Edmunds Ritter GLASGOW — Dorothy Edmunds Ritter, 85, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at the T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Born in Barren County on Oct. 31, 1922, she was a daughter of the late James Buford and Kate Willis Edmunds. She was a member of the Beckton Church of Christ. She graduated from Park City High School and was a member of DAV Chapter 20 Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter: Susan Elaine Spears and husband Keith; two sons: Johnny Ritter and wife Debbie and Sid Ritter, all of Glasgow; one sister: Katherine Allen of Scottsville; two grandchildren: Brad Ritter (Mary Beth) and Melissa Spears; one step granddaughter: Jennifer Downs; one great-granddaughter: Cheyenne Ritter; and two step great-granddaughters: Ashley and Miah Downs. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Faunys Ritter; three brothers, Lewis, Curd and Wilton "Bill" Edmunds; and three sisters: Laurie Eubank, Musie Furlong and Martha Ann Simpson. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, at the A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, Glasgow, with burial in the Happy Valley Memorial Gardens.
