The Glasgow Fire Department extinguished a structure fire early Tuesday morning in Glasgow.

The GFD responded to a reported structure fire at 6:37 a.m. on the 100 block of Rogers Road, according to a GFD press release.

“Fire units arrived, found the structure heavily involved in fire, and utilized multiple large diameter hoselines to extinguish the fire,” the press release states, adding that fire fighters put out the fire by 6:58 a.m., but remained on the scene until 9:30 a.m.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and the GFD was assisted on the scene by the Glasgow Police Department, Barren-Metcalfe County Emergency Medical Services, Barren County Emergency Management and Glasgow EPB, all according to the press release.
