The boys are back in town

Black Stone Cherry to perform at Plaza

GLASGOW — Black Stone Cherry has a tradition of being home for the holidays, and while the band is in town they usually put on a show or two.

This year they’re following tradition.

BSC is set to rock the historic Plaza Theatre on Friday, with a second show scheduled for Saturday.

“We love playing at home. It’s always the show we are most critical of as we have many supporters from Day One that are there watching us, and we want to show our local folks a great show and make them proud,” said Ben Wells, guitarist/vocalist.

The band had originally planned to do one concert, but added a second night due to a high volume of ticket sales.

“We sold over 100 tickets in the first 10 minutes, and the rest were gone by Nov. 1, about a month from the time they went on sale,” said Jennifer Moonsong, public relations and promotions representative for the Plaza Theatre. “The second show, BSC Reprise, is set for the night of Saturday, Dec. 15. All we have left for tickets are reprise tickets; there are only a handful left on the main floor and a portion of the balcony.

“We are very excited about this back-to-back, double shot of Black Stone Cherry and extremely proud to bring them to the Plaza for the rock show of the season.”
