A Louisville man was arrested Thursday at gunpoint.
Munfordville Police Officer Steven Shields arrested Fabian H. Valentine, 35, after learning he was wanted in connection with two bank robberies in Louisville, plus several other robberies that had occurred over the past few days. The police had also received complaints in egard to the vehicle operated by Valentine being stolen from Jefferson County.
Valentine was considered to be armed and dangerous, according to a Munfordville Police Department press release.
Police located Valentine sitting in a car at a Shell gas station on Main Street in Munfordville and arrested him a gunpoint. Concealed in his jacket was a BB gun.
Valentine was charged with receiving stolen property less than $10,000, possession of a controlled substance (first offense); DUI; possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle on a suspended operator's license.
Valentine was lodged in the Hart County Jail, the press release stated.
Assisting Shields in making the arrest were Munfordville Police Officer David Logsdon, Kentucky State Police Troopers Jeremy Smith and Graham Rutherford, Hart County Deputies Joey Cox and Jeff Wilson and Horse Cave Police Officer Chuck Webb.
Also responding to the scene were Ricky Simms and Reggie Pettit with Hart County EMS, firefighters with the Munfordville Fire Department, Hart County Constable Buck Minton, and other civilians, the press release stated.
