TOMPKINSVILLE — A Bowling Green man was found fatally wounded Thursday in Monroe County, and a Tompkinsville man has been arrested in relation to the death.
On Friday, at approximately 8:43 a.m., Kentucky State Police Post 15 in Columbia received a call from the Monroe County sheriff in reference to a deceased male subject that had been located inside a residence on Galilee Road, 10 miles west of Tompkinsville. Upon arrival, units determined the victim, Terry Alexander, 33, had been shot multiple times, according to a KSP press release.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Monroe County coroner. Further investigation revealed that Demarcus Hamilton, 32, had shot Alexander, according to the KSP statement. Hamilton was located and arrested in Cookeville, Tenn., and charged with murder. Investigation is continuing by Detective Brooks. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Monroe County Coroner’s Office.
