All three agencies that applied for federal grant funds to supplement emergency food and shelter programs will receive a portion of the $16,412 allocated to Barren County.
The grant was announced Oct. 21 through a press release, and applicants’ deadline was Nov. 1.
A national board determines the total amount each location gets from the funds appropriated by Congress and then places the responsibility of further distribution with a local board.
