Joint commission looks at 2014 goals and objectives for community

GLASGOW —

No one from the general public attended a 5 p.m. meeting or a 7 p.m. hearing Monday regarding the Goals and Objectives chapter of the Barren County 2014 Comprehensive Plan.

The plan is the reference guide for how the county as a whole and its incorporated cities should develop, and the Goals and Objectives, while mostly unchanged from those of the 2009 plan, represent something of an overview of the entire plan. The plan is prepared with a view toward carrying out the goals – general statements and concepts that express the community’s needs – and the objectives, which are “specific and measurable ideas which, when achieved, contribute to the pertinent goal.”
