Caverna High School launches one-to-one iPad initiative

Glasgow Daily Times

GLASGOW — Caverna High School sophomores Madison Parker and Giuliana Petrucci lean over each other’s desks to look at a 3D Brain model application on their iPads during psychology class. Students in Stephanie Taylor’s psychology class were using a variety of iPad applications to better understand teenage brain development.

This school year, Caverna High School launched their one to one iPad initiative and issued the devices to every one of the school’s nearly 200 students shortly after Labor Day. The iPads cost around $100,000 and were purchased with a nearly $500,000 School Improvement Grant that the district received for the past three years, according to Brad Phipps, Caverna High School principal.
