Mayor gives police chief top-rated evaluation

GLASGOW — Glasgow Police Department Chief Guy Turcotte performed his duties in an excellent manner overall in his first 22 months or so on the job, according to his performance evaluation by the mayor.

A recent open records request by the Daily Times for the chief’s personnel file contained the evaluation. The date was not on it, but Mayor Rhonda Riherd Trautman said she did it in December around the same time as she completed evaluations on all her department heads. On the cover page, which explains the rating scale and provides a location for the employee’s comments and signature, the evaluation period is “Annual Review and 24 Month Review.”
