Firefighters: ‘Fill the Boot’ for MDA

For the third year in a row, the Glasgow Professional Firefighters Association is participating in “Fill the Boot,” a campaign that encourages community members to donate money to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

All day Sept. 7 and 14, firefighters will be collecting money in front of Walmart on Happy Valley Road.

All of the proceeds will go to the MDA to fund local adults and children who have this disease, said a press release from MDA.

“This is a yearly event that the MDA has,” firefighter David Moss said. “Firefighters across the nation participate. This is the charity we took under our wing.”
