Lloyd pens suspense novel

GLASGOW — Local author Lindsay Lloyd has released her first suspense novel titled, “American Bittersweet.”

Lloyd, 26, of Glasgow, will be available to sign copies of the book from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ivy Books and Gifts on Rogers Drive.

In “American Bittersweet,” main character Shelby, is kidnapped by crime lord Stitches. It is up to Shelby’s boyfriend, Dex, to rescue her, even if it means sacrificing his own life.

“American Bittersweet” is for a mature readers.

“It is very graphic. I always like to warn the readers about that,” she said. “It’s not intended for young readers.”
