SATURDAY UPDATE: One dead in apartment fire

GLASGOW — A person was found dead Saturday morning after a fire at Huntsman Manor Apartments on Jefferson Street in Glasgow, according to the Glasgow Police Department.

The Glasgow Fire Deparment received a call about a fire at the complex at about 8:45 a.m., according to a release from GPD. When firefighters entered the apartment, a body was found. Alan Gregory of the state Fire Marshal's Office has been at the scene and is investigating the cause of the fire, which has not been determined.

The victim's identity has not been released, pending notification of family, according to the release. An autopsy will be performed Sunday, according to Barren County Coroner Mike Swift. The apartment will remain sealed during the investigation.
