Arts Guild members’ work on display at library

GLASGOW —

Artwork by various members of the Art Guild of the Barrens is on display at Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library.

Sally Puntel, a member of the art guild, came up with the idea to exhibit art guild members’ work at the library.

Puntel has visited libraries in several cities throughout the country that featured displays from local artists.

“I thought, ‘Gosh, that would be a great idea for the Glasgow library because it’s such a beautiful facility,’” she said.

Puntel took her idea to Lynn Andrew, director of library services, who agreed it would be a great idea to have art guild members’ artwork displayed throughout the library.
