12:45 AFTERNOON UPDATE: Foot pursuit ends in arrest, drug seizure

GLASGOW — At 7:47 pm, Thursday, Glasgow Police officers Nick Houchens and Aaron Cowan arrived at 508 Bunch Upon their arrival, a man identified as 35-year-old Oliver R. Bratcher Jr., of Summer Shade Road, was seen running from the scene, which initiated a short foot pursuit by both officers.

After subduing and taking Bratcher into custody, it was determined that he was manifestly under the influence of alcohol. A bag he was carrying during the chase was searched at the scene, which yielded pill bottles, one containing suspected marijuana, the other, suspected marijuana seeds.

Other items found in the bag were a syringe, pipe and a spoon with drug residue.

He is charged with fleeing or evading police (on foot), alcohol intoxication in a public place, third or greater offense in 12 months; possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
