GFD called to Cleveland Avenue woods fire

GLASGOW — The Glasgow Fire Department responded at 4:21 p.m. Thursday with two engines, one ladder truck and one command vehicle to 1510 Cleveland Ave. for a report of a woods fire that was getting close to a house, according to a GFD press release.

When firefighters arrived, they found a small woods fire behind the residence that was extinguished in about 20 minutes, according to the statement, and “the fire appeared to have been intentionally set.”

Firefighters were on the scene 1 hour and 10 minutes; no injuries were reported.
