Mammoth Cave National Park hosts U.S. citizenship ceremony

GLASGOW — For the second time in his career at Mammoth Cave National Park, Bruce Powell, deputy superintendent of the national park, participated in a naturalization ceremony.

The event took place Friday, when more than 30 immigrants representing approximately 20 countries became citizens of the United States.

Powell knows all too well how the immigrants felt. Originally from Australia, Powell attended a similar naturalization ceremony in 1979 when he, too, became a citizen of the United States.
