GLASGOW — Glasgow High School's boys' cross country team and lone women's meet runner performed well Saturday at Ephram White Park in Bowling Green.
Marisa Moore won the Region 2, Class A Girls Cross Country Meet with a time of 19:40.05, 26 seconds ahead of Emily Woodward of Hancock County, who was second. Hancock won the team title with 21 points.
The Scotties' team won the boys meet title with 52 points, 13 points better than second place Hancock County. Evan Jenkins of Butler County won the individual title with a time of 17:35.82. Cumberland County's Levi Owens was second with a time of 17:55.25.
Glasgow's Zach Wheeler was third with a time of 18:17.8, Auggie Brown was fourth in 18:25.5 and Carter Chavira was sixth in 18:38.81. Andrew Thomerson posted a time of 19:37.64 and finished 16th, while Gage Martin ran a personal best of 20:23.16 and finished 28th.

In Class 3A at the same location, Barren County's boys' team finished seventh. Billy Mowery led the way, finishing 20th, with a time of 17:49.97. Matthew Read finished 30th in a time of 18:30.32, while Luke Edmunds and Jacob Belcher finished 35th and 36th, respectively, with times of 19:00.32 and 19:02.54. Dylan Howard ran 19:04.12. The aforementioned runners' placements were used in calculating the team score. Also running for Barren were Brandon Reed and Andrew Witty, whose times were 19:26.56 and 19:34.83.
In the girls' 3A meet, Barren County finished sixth as a team. Kayla Roeder led the way, finishing 14th, with a time of 21:45.53. Shayna Billingsley, Geron Walters and Olivia Houchens placed 31st through 33rd. Tasia Fortune finished 40th and Sarah Craine was 43rd.
