Black mold shuts down Metcalfe County Courthouse

Historic building will be closed until Tuesday

GLASGOW — The historic Metcalfe County Courthouse will close early on Friday and remain closed through Monday while a work crew goes in and removes black mold from certain areas of the building.

The mold developed from leaks and issues with the courthouse’s heating and cooling system.

“The courthouse is just full of it,” said Greg Wilson, judge-executive.

It will cost $19,000 to $20,000 to remove the black mold.
