Local woman became ‘an accidental artist’

GLASGOW — Pam Jewell became an artist by accident.

She was interested in joining the Glasgow Garden Club and attended a meeting with fellow artist Betty Brogan.

Brogan told Jewell she had to leave the garden club meeting early in order to get to her painting class on time. Brogan also invited Jewell to come with her to the painting class.

“I said, ‘Yeah, I’d love to go see you paint,’” Jewell said.

The class was taught by Glasgow watercolorist Jane Kehrt.
