The Barren County Sheriff’s Office is going mobile because sheriff Kent Keen would like to enhance communication between the Barren County Sheriff’s Office and members of the community.
To that end, he announced Friday the launch of a smartphone application that provides several methods for information to be exchanged. The app, known as AppArrest, is available on phones that use the Android operating system now, but it is still pending for use on Apple products. It will be approximately two to four weeks before the Apple app is launched.
