AFTERNOON UPDATE: Five arrested in county traffic stop


A Tuesday night traffic stop led to the arrest of five people on various charges and outstanding warrants, according to a Barren County Sheriff's Office release.

Tiffinia Ousley, 29; Timothy Isaacs, 22; Danny Spears, 54; and Michael J. Stanley, 34, were all in a 1999 Toyota stopped by Deputy Mike Houchens on Tuesday night. Ousley, Isaacs and Spears are from Minnie, Stanley is from Bevinsville, according the BCSO release.

Houchens initiated the stop on Scottsville Road based on information received through 911 Dispatch about a possible domestic situation taking place involving the occupants of the vehicle, the release stated.

All four were arrested and charged with public intoxication.

A fourth passenger, Kendra Artrip, of Drift, was served with four warrants from Floyd County.

Stanley was also charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense; giving an officer a false name or address; and theft of identity of another without consent. He also had another six warrants from Floyd County.

Spears was also charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense.

All five people were lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.

Houchens and Deputy Ken Thomas made the arrests and were assisted in the case by the Barren-Edmonson County Drug Task Force.
